To provide a sportsgrounds with evergreen turf, the latest state of the art carpet systems - mostly delivered in rolls of 3 to 5 meters - are applied on either a base layer (asphalt or mineral ground) or upon an intermediate elastic layer, depending on the system used. After laying the artifical turf an infill material - usually a mixture of sand and rubber granulate - is being applied.
